Mixing internet slang with Elizabethan English, Followers retold Shakespeare’s tragedy of loyalty, rebellion, persuasion and civil war from the conflicting perspectives of three contemporary teenagers. Staged in a secret new space at Southwark Playhouse, Followers played to over 20 schools in the Southwark and Lambeth boroughs, and was brilliant.
