Southwark Playhouse, 28th January – 14th February 2014

By Stewart Melton, after Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar

Mixing internet slang with Elizabethan English, Followers retold Shakespeare’s tragedy of loyalty, rebellion, persuasion and civil war from the conflicting perspectives of three contemporary teenagers. Staged in a secret new space at Southwark Playhouse, Followers played to over 20 schools in the Southwark and Lambeth boroughs, and was brilliant.
