ABOUT ME

Hello! I’m a British theatre director living in Dublin, specialising in developing, dramaturging and directing new work. Over the last ten years, my productions have toured the United Kingdom, Ireland and New York, winning several festival prizes along the way. I have worked with some of Europe’s most exciting young writers, many of them on their debut plays, and I am on the readers panels for the Bush, the Hampstead and the National Theatre.

In 2016 I trained on the National Theatre Directors Course, and have studied Shakespeare directing at the Globe and opera directing through the Young Vic and Royal Opera House. I am currently one of Dublin Fringe’s Resident Hot Deskers, as well as being the Associate Director for One Duck Productions.

I love work that takes linguistic, formal and emotional risks.

“...Thomas Martin’s tense and exciting production roars up nicely to an excruciating climax.”
